Little Red Riding Hood

Here's a new painting! It's been an awful long time, I know and I'm sorry. I really do still keep busy, I promise. This is actually a side project that I started on Saturday when I got a little burnt out on some other projects. I hope you enjoy it!

  1. the fabric texture is lovely, Randy. She looks like she can totally take the big bad wolf. Great job with the light!

  2. Thank you very much! I was actually thinking about putting an axe in her hand instead of a basket, but I think I'm going to do d piece with the huntsman and the wolf duking it out.

  3. Great composition! I keep bouncing between her face, the cape and the wolf's eyes. Awesome. I gotta agree with Emily on the fabric. Its all floaty and ethereal. Small, ridiculously picky critique. Her face flattens out a bit toward the bottom. I think its because there is no cast shadow under her lip like the strong cast shadow under her nose. Simply awesome. Very strong woman, but still womanly. This would be perfect for a book cover!!!

  4. Hey Cassie, I'm inclined to agree with you there. She could use a little more dimension in the chin/mouth region. Thanks for the tip. Your latest stuff is fantastic, by the way
